Alright, pretty insanely jet-lagged, but figured ya'all needed some photos of the basics. So....
My Room:
Note the really neat-O old trunk dated 1887 -->
My dad's dog Bamse, who weighs 20 pounds more than I do!
View from the office window ^
Where I live -->
That white in the middle is a glacier -->
My dad and Bamse in entrance to Ness Farm
Building on stilts to keep the "animals out"
Me outside the old 16th C. farmhouse on Nes Farm
^--Door where the dead bodies would leave, no joke. Guess they couldn't leave from the door the living went through.
<--More views from the ness.
<--Norheimsund
<-- 1,000 year old sacred oak tree on the property that is protected by law.
More later.... :)
Gonna quote my history-nerd bro here: "Say, the reason for the death door is this, by the way: you took the corpse out the other door so the ghost would be disoriented and couldn't easily come back in"
ReplyDeleteThis place looks amazing and very serene! I wish I was over there right now. Please do write more about your adventures, I'm really interested to read all about them, and do take lots and lots of pictures. I wanna see them all and hear all your stories when you come back and we can discuss it over a nice hookah at Aroma's. :)
ReplyDeleteSounds fantastic!!! I need to get a new camera now, so may be a little delay until my next post =)
